Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy:

Effective date: August 12, 2026

Stack Peak (“the app,” “we,” “us”) is a personal supplement logging and analytics tool built and operated by Stack Peak LLC, a Colorado-based company. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using Stack Peak you agree to this policy.

  1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Account information. When you create an account we collect the credentials you sign in with: your email address, phone number, or the name and email shared by Google or Apple Sign-In. We never see or store your passwords for Google or Apple accounts.

Data you log in the app. Stack Peak stores the information you choose to enter, including your supplement list, doses, schedules, administration routes, daily supplement logs, daily metric ratings (such as energy, sleep, and mood), notes, cognitive test results, and lab values.

Apple Health data. If you choose to track Apple Health metrics, Stack Peak reads only the specific health metrics you select (for example sleep duration, resting heart rate, or steps) with your explicit permission through Apple’s HealthKit. Health access is read-only — Stack Peak never writes to Apple Health. Health values used in your check-ins are stored with your account data so your insights work across your devices. You can revoke Health access at any time in the iOS Settings app.

AI assistant conversations. If you use the in-app AI assistant, the messages you send and a summary of your logged data (your supplements, effectiveness scores, and recent check-ins) are transmitted to our server and processed by Anthropic’s Claude API to generate a response. Conversations are not saved after you close the chat.

  1. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use your data only to provide the app’s features: syncing your data across your devices, computing your personal insights and correlations, and powering the optional AI assistant. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for their own purposes.

Apple Health data is never used for advertising, marketing, or data mining, is never sold, and is never disclosed to third parties except as required to provide features you explicitly request. Apple Health data is not stored in iCloud.

  1. COMMUNITY BENCHMARKS (OPTIONAL, OFF BY DEFAULT)

Stack Peak includes optional anonymous community benchmarks. This feature is turned OFF unless you explicitly turn it on in Community → Community Sharing, and you can turn it off at any time.

What is shared when you turn it on: the names of supplements in your stack that have enough data to analyze, the measured average difference in each tracked metric between the days you took that supplement and the days you did not, and the number of days behind each of those results.

What is never shared: your name, email address, phone number, account identifier, or any other identifier that could identify you; your doses, brands, schedules, or notes; your individual daily check-ins, ratings, or dates; your raw lab values, Apple Health values, or cognitive test scores; and any compound flagged in the app as prescription or grey-area, which is excluded from community sharing entirely. Shared results are labeled only with a randomly generated display name that is not derived from your account.

How it is used: shared results are combined with other users’ results into per-supplement averages. An average is only published once at least five separate accounts have shared data for that supplement, so a published number cannot be traced back to an individual. Aggregate benchmarks are visible to other signed-in Stack Peak users inside the app.

Withdrawing. Turning sharing off removes your contribution, and your results are removed from every benchmark on the next aggregation run. Deleting your account also removes your contribution.

Community benchmarks are self-reported observations from other users. They are not clinical evidence, not a study, and not medical advice.

  1. WHERE YOUR DATA IS STORED

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), keyed to your private account, and cached on your device so the app works quickly. Data is encrypted in transit. Only your signed-in account can access your data. The only exception is data you explicitly choose to share through the optional community benchmarks described in Section 3, which is stored in anonymized aggregate form.

  1. SERVICE PROVIDERS

We rely on the following providers to operate the app: Google Firebase (authentication, database, and cloud functions) and Anthropic (AI responses, only when you use the AI assistant). These providers process data on our behalf to deliver the features you use.

  1. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS

Access and correction: all of your logged data is visible and editable inside the app. Community sharing: Community → Community Sharing lets you turn anonymous sharing on or off at any time. Reset: Settings → Reset Data lets you permanently erase selected categories of your data. Deletion: Settings → Delete Account permanently deletes your login and all data stored in your account. Health permissions: manage or revoke Apple Health access anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health. Depending on where you live, you may have additional legal rights (such as under the GDPR, the CCPA, or the Washington My Health My Data Act), including the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and the right to withdraw consent — contact us to exercise them.

  1. CHILDREN

Stack Peak is intended for adults. You must be at least 17 years old to use the app. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 17.

  1. DATA RETENTION

Your data is retained while your account exists. When you delete your account, your login and stored account data are permanently deleted, and any community contribution associated with your account is removed.

  1. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date in the app.
